| Lynn's Bio
After Lynn and her husband obtained their first dog together, out of love, Lynn became interested in providing the best possible care. She read everything she could on good nutrition, homeopathic remedies and training. She enjoyed it so much she opened her own business called Gourmet Waggin', making gourmet dog biscuits and all natural pet care products.
Her business took flight selling products to both retail and wholesale customers in CT and MA. Her products included a line of aromatherapy products for pets, including shampoo, bed spray, toothpaste and breath freshener, all of which Lynn invented. When Lynn and Scott lost their boxer dog, Bodie, to cancer a few years later, the heartache they felt was inconsolable. He died at the young age of three to a rare form of cancer after becoming sicker and sicker. The idea of having a house without the pitter patter of paws, was awful. Thus they began researching adoption opportunities using the internet. They found Molly from a local rescue organization. Lynn had been raised around dogs. Her avid interest in animals lead her to believe that there was a need for more public education and awareness. She and her husband volunteered for a boxer rescue agency and over the course of the next few years fostered approximately a hundred boxers and dogs of other breeds helping them to find permanent, loving homes. Many dogs who enter a rescue organization are bound to have problems, behavioral or medical. As time progressed, Lynn set out to educate herself more on the nature of dogs. She attended a professional training school full time for 4 months, gathering as much knowledge as she could take in. She graduated with high honors, and at the top of her class. She has extensively studied canine behaviorism with a focus on aggression, attending more schooling and numerous workshops taught by professionals in the field. She has met with and spoken to Nicholas Dodman, Brian Kilcommons, as well as so many others. Post schooling, she was contacted by the owner of CT K9 Education Center, the school she attended, and was offered a position as Director. This facility provided grooming, public training, boarding, had its own non profit rescue. Additionally, they rented space to Hartford and Newington, CT pounds as well as having two professional schools; one for training and one for grooming. Just prior to taking on this endeavor, Lynn had already formed her own personal training and pet sitting business, Bow Wow U. She worked full time in the day and did training at night and on weekends. After working at CT K-9 for a year, Lynn wanted to move on and pursue her own business interests full time. She thus re-doubled her efforts in making Bow Wow U. a success. Lynn is interested in continuing her education even further and is especially interested in the use of aromatherapy and flower essences in the treatment of some behavioral challenges. Lynn has taken her skills, abilities and love for animals and formed them into a full service training and canine care profession.
