What is the difference between behavioral consulting and obedience training? Merely teaching a dog to sit, stay, down, etc., will in NO WAY resolve behavioral issues such as aggression, obsessive compulsive disorders, barking, marking, etc. Obedience training is a vital component in many behavioral issues but first determining HOW and WHY the behavior develops is the key factor in solving the puzzle. Consultations are a fabulous way to identify problems with a diagnosis, followed by a prognosis, and then determine what steps need to be taken with a recommendation or behavioral modification plan. It may mean changing diet, atmosphere, adding more activities in the dog's daily schedule, Aromatherapy, Flower Essences, Pharmaceuticals prescribed by a vet, as well as some type of obedience training, in a behavioral modification plan.
